Head of Analytical Reporting and Outreach Department (AROD) of EUMM, Dr. Kaupo Kand held a public lecture at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Dr. Kaupo Kand talked about the EU Monitoring Mission, the activities carried out within the mandate and future plans of the EUMM.
Dr. Kaupo Kand talked about the six-point peace plan brokered by the European Union and overviewed the challenges of their implementation. He discussed the EU's civilian crisis management measures implemented in recent years. Dr. Kaupo Kand gave students the opportunity to assess the issue against the background of broader regional and geopolitical context of other current or past conflicts. The engaging lecture was followed by the question-and-answer session.
The EUMM held the public lecture within the new informative-educational project, which aims to raise awareness about the mission of the mandate among the youth. The cycle of the public lectures continues and involves other high educational institutions in Georgia.
