
Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is hosting the series of public lectures presented by Prof. Ingolf Bernhardt the leader of Biophysics Research Team at Saarland University.
The German professor shares his expertise with BSU students, lecturers and professors and the experts in the life sciences in actual issues including the new methods of investigation of biological cells, red blood cells and their ion channels in membrane as well as their role in formation of clots in blood.
The lectures will also cover the following topics: some types of blood diseases, radioactivity in medicine, existing modern technologies and the influence of radioactivity on the environment.
The lectures started on October 24 and will finish on October 26.
The event led by Prof. Ingolf Bernhardt is organized by Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University with the financial support provided by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara.
