The Head of the Social Affairs Department of the US Embassy Jeffry Reno visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Mr. Merab Khalvashi the Rector of the University, the Deputies Mrs. Tamar Siradze and Mrs. Natia Tsiklashvili and the deans introduced the representative of the diplomatic body to the education programmes, the history, the strategy of development, priorities of the university and the projects implemented with the support of the US Embassy.
Future cooperation priorities including the invitation of the US professors and teachers to BSU as well as implementation of the teaching/learning and research projects and exchange programmes were the issues discussed at the meeting.
