Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is one of the partners of the project „iHubs4Schools - Accelerating Digital Innovation in Schools through Regional Innovation Hubs and a Whole-School Mentoring Model“  funded in the frame of the EU Research and Innovation programme “Horizon 2020”. The BSU staff involved in the project participated in the first working meeting of the project consortium on January 7-8. The programme partners were introduced to the project implementation and management details and made an outline of the future plans.

The objective of the project iHubs4Schools (the project number - DT-TRANSFORMATIONS-21-2020) is to help and provide support to 75 schools and 600 teachers of the 5 European countries involved in the project in establishment and dissemination of the mentoring  scheme in the schools as well as between the schools through the innovative hubs. The activities planned in the frame of the project will encourage strengthening of cooperation among the schools in the context of establishment of digital innovations.

The mentoring model envisages sustainable methodological support to schools through utilization of the current approaches to assessment and analytical methods of learning.

The project sustainability is ensured with the involvement of the school community, local municipalities and professional associations. The trained teachers will be able to establish the knowledge, gained in the frame of the mentoring scheme, in their schools as well as share the experience with their colleagues.

The BSU, as one of the partners of the iHubs4Schools project, together with the leading European universities, scientific-technological institutes and organizations, will implement the project in 2021-2023 and offer public schools the mechanisms of establishment of digital innovations through creation of the innovative regional Hubs.
