The webinar “Covid19 as a catalyst for educational change?” was held on 25th November 2021 within the project “iHub4Schools - Accelerating Digital Innovation in Schools through Regional Innovation Hubs and a Whole-School Mentoring Model“ financed by  Horizon 2020 EU Research and Innovation program.

The webinar participants discussed  the challenges the education system faced during the pandemic and once again stressed the need for technology development in schools.

Professor Tamar Siradze, a member of the project iHUB4school BSU team, spoke about the difficulties caused by the pandemic in Georgia and the innovations introduced in the educational space to solve them.

Teachers of Adjara Secondary School, a representative of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Adjara and iHub4School BSU team actively participated in the webinar together with more than 50 participants from Estonia, Finland, Norway, UK and other EU countries.

The project iHub4Schools aims to assist and support 75 schools and 600 teachers from 5 European countries involved in the project through the introduction and dissemination of mentoring schemes between schools and schools through regional innovative hubs. The activities planned within the project will help to strengthen cooperation between schools in terms of introducing digital innovations. The mentoring model involves the ongoing methodological support of schools using the latest assessment approaches and analytical learning strategies.
