Within the framework of the "Erasmus+" project "Curriculum Innovation for Social Inclusion - CISI", a short-term training was held on the topic: "Working with students with autism spectrum at school". The teachers from public and private schools, special teachers, parents of the students with special needs participated in the training. The aim of the training was to familiarize the attendees with with the causes, symptoms, specific social-communication skills development and teaching strategies of autism spectrum disorders. The training was carried out in an online format and lasted for 3 days.
Taking into account the CISI project, training courses related to special education were prepared with lecture materials and short-term training programs were developed for the integrated bachelor-master educational program of general education primary level teacher training of partner Georgian universities, including BSU. Within the framework of the project, TSU and BSU are preparing a special teacher training educational program, which is planned to be implemented in the format of distance learning.
