
The process of selecting universities for long-term cooperation within the framework of the USAID Education for the Future program has been completed, and according to the decision of the commission, the project will be implemented with the involvement of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.
In selected universities, including Shota Rustveli State University in Batumi, the USAID Education for the Future program with the technical assistance of Arizona State University will support the development of teacher training and educational sciences programs.
- New training courses will be developed based on Universal Learning Design principles
- The component of school practice will be strengthened
- Teaching and research skills of academic staff will be improved
- Access to modern literature will increase
- Involvement of university academic staff and students in local and international partnerships will be ensured
Universities that are implementing a teacher training and/or master's program in educational sciences, or planning to create a master's program in educational sciences, can express their interest in cooperation with the program.
A total of fifteen universities expressed interest in long-term cooperation. It should be noted that in the future, within the framework of the program, other opportunities for cooperation are foreseen for Georgian state and private universities implementing education programs.
