
"Responsible Conduct of Research - Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities - ETHICS" (Responsible Conduct of Research - Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities - ETHICS) project "Erasmus+" funded by the European Commission organized an information meeting-training BSU team for academic and administrative staff, research institutes and structures of scientific direction.
The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize BSU representatives with the ongoing process of the project. The main attention was paid to the 3-day workshop on the training of trainers held on October 11-13, 2023, organized by the Ilia State University and under the leadership of the European partners of the ETHICS project. Training participants - Tamar Siradze, Marine Nagervadze and Tatia Nakashidze-Makharadze presented to the attending public important issues discussed at the training: research ethics and integrity, data falsification and its detection, prevention of plagiarism and other types of academic misconduct, publishing ethics, use of artificial intelligence in research, the function-duties of the research integrity officer and the principles of their work in the educational institution.
The main goal of the ETHICS project is to improve existing mechanisms, procedures and services in the direction of research ethics and integrity at the university level.
