Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University has taken a significant step toward the professional development of its young faculty members. With the support of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education, as well as the Department of Student Career Development, Sports, and Culture, a support seminar for young lecturers was organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ project titled "Promoting Professional Education and Student Engagement through a Comprehensive Mentoring and Tutoring System".
The seminar, which aimed to support and foster the professional development of young lecturers, was led by the Faculty Dean and project coordinator, Professor Lela Turmanidze. The meeting focused on addressing key challenges that young educators face in the academic environment:
- Adaptation to the new university environment
- Establishing effective communication with students
- Active and results-oriented participation in the teaching process
- Planning and implementing lecture courses that meet modern requirements
The seminar proved particularly productive - participants exchanged experiences, shared innovative ideas, and received practical recommendations. Future meetings were planned to further support the professional growth of young faculty members and enhance the university's educational process.
