International Scientific Conference "Byzantine Studies in Georgia - 5" is closed. Greek Ambassador to Georgia Dimitris Karabalis attended the closing ceremony. A photo exhibition depicting the presence of Greeks living in Adjara was held within the framework of BSU professors` monograph "Pontic Greeks in Adjara – Past and Present". A three-day conference was held at BSU on this topic - "The Black Sea and Black Sea Countries – the Crossroads of Cultures and Civilizations in IV-XV Centuries", with the participation of Georgian, American, German, English, Turkish, and Greek researchers and foreign Kartvelologists.
