Consulate General of the Republic of Armenia in Batumi, Narine Matosyan, visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and met with BSU Rector Tite Aroshidze. During the introductory meeting, the parties discussed the existing friendly relations between the two countries and discussed the prospects for future cooperation between Batumi State University and higher educational institutions of Armenia. The meeting was also attended by Marine Giorgadze, Head of the Department of Strategic Development and International Relations.

Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Tite Aroshidze, hosted a delegation from the University of Tsukuba (Japan). The meeting was aimed at deepening the partnership between the universities and moving to a new stage of international academic cooperation. The Rector introduced the members of the delegation to the prospects for the development of the Japanese Studies department of the university and expressed his desire for academic cooperation. During the meeting, BSU representatives introduced the history of the university, educational programs and research directions to the guests.

The Kolkheti Peatland and Aquatic Ecosystem Conservation Department of the Institute of Phytopathology and Biodiversity of BSU will assist the Republic of Turkmenistan in establishing a national park and developing a management plan. The project “Partnership for the Benefit of Water-Related Ecosystems” will start in April 2025. The project is funded by the Korean government within the framework of the BBI (Bio Bridge Initiative) of the Framework Convention on Biological Diversity.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Batumi, Fuad Azizov, visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and met with the rector of the university, Tite Aroshidze. The parties discussed the existing relations between the two countries and the prospects for cooperation in the field of education. It was planned to implement joint educational and scientific projects and exchange programs. The introductory meeting was attended by the Deputy Rector of BSU, Tamar Siradze, and the Head of the Department of Strategic Development and International Relations, Marine Giorgadze.

Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Tite Aroshidze met with the Representative of the United Nations Children`s Fund (UNICEF) in Georgia Jesper Moller. During the introductory meeting, the parties discussed the achievements and future plans of the Children`s Rights Knowledge Center. They agreed to hold the Fourth International Conference on Early Childhood Education and Care, which is traditionally held at Batumi State University under the organization of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports of Georgia, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Adjara Autonomous Republic, UNICEF and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.
