The Jean Monnet Summer School "Constitutional Democracy in the European Union: Main Challenges and Georgia" was opened at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. 30 students majoring in law, international relations, European studies and public administration from different universities of Georgia are participating in the summer school. The purpose of the four-day school is to provide young people with basic knowledge about EU institutions, mechanisms and processes in Georgia in terms of European integration.

ERASMUS+ grant project "Promoting professional education and students engagement through comprehensive mentoring and tutoring system at HEIs" staff, researcher Nino Samnidze, assistant professor of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education and researcher Salome Jincharadze, teacher of the Center for Languages and Information Technologies of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education, the head specialist of the Department of Career Development, Culture and Sports, were in Italy, in the city of Perugia, on a study visit planned within the framework of the project from June 30 to July 8, 2023.

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is the winner of the Erasmus + Jean Monnet program. On behalf of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Malkhaz Nakashidze, professor of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences submitted the project of the Jean Monnet module "Political criteria for joining the European Union and the Europeanization of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine" at the international competition. According to the decision of the European Commission, Malkhaz Nakashidze was awarded the status of Jean Monnet professor for the second time, and the project will be implemented at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University in the next 3 years.
