An international scientific conference was opened in BSU on the topic: "Study, protection, preservation, wise use of a separate component of biodiversity", dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Institute of Phytopathology and Biodiversity of BSU. Researchers and scientists from the leading scientific and educational institutions of Georgia, Poland, Turkey, the Netherlands, Canada, Switzerland and Italy participate in the conference. The two-day conference of is supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara.

On September 30 - October 2, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University was visited by the representatives of Tampere University Pori Consortium in Finland: Tarmo Liping, professor of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Communication Sciences of Tampere University, and Dr. Kimo Ahonen, an employee of the International Office of Tampere University, Erasmus coordinator and project manager

Acting Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Merab Khalvashi, and Rector of International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, Asrorzoda Ubaidulo Sator, signed a memorandum of cooperation. The memorandum envisages implementation of joint educational and scientific projects, implementation of exchange and internship programs, holding of conferences, seminars and trainings. The parties also agreed on future cooperation plans and directions.

Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi is hosting the third international conference on the topic: "Early education and care". The conference was attended by Merab Khalvashi, Acting Rector of Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi, Archil Chikovani, Mayor of Batumi, Deputy Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of the Autonomous Republlic of Ajara Zaur Akhvlediani, Ambassador of Japan to Georgia Hideki Ishizuka, Permanent Coordinator of the United Nations in Georgia Didier Taghiyuk and Representative of the United Nations Children`s Fund in Georgia Jesper Moller opened the event.

Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi, with the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, participated for the first time in the International Education Exhibition and Conference held in Toulouse (France) on September 17-20, 2024 organized by the European Association of International Education (EAIE).
