In the BSU vocational program management and continuous education center, the graduation ceremony of the short-term vocational program of integrated plant protection of Shota Rustaveli University of Batumi and the handing over of certificates was held. In the first stream of the three-month program, 14 students were trained, who received theoretical and practical training on all diseases and pests common in specific agricultural crops in the region, their management and prevention. The program is intended for persons involved in the field, practicing specialists and farmers.

An internal working meeting of the staff implementing the project "Responsible Conduct of Research - Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities (ETHICS)" funded by the European Commission was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. At the meeting, the participants discussed the details of the 3-day training workshop for trainers held on October 11-13 at one of the partner institutions of the project - ATSU, as well as, the work to be performed by the BSU team, and the future plans of the project. The participants of the training of trainers shared with their colleagues the experience gained during the meeting and agreed on the preparatory work for conducting the trainings.

The presentation of educational programs of the French Institute was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Natia Mskhaladze, the representative of the French Institute of Georgia in the university direction and head of Campus France, introduced the French higher education system, exchange programs, scholarships and conditions of participation to the students of different faculties. The meeting took place in question-answer mode and Natia Mskhaladze answered the students` questions.

Since 2004, the President and Congress of the United States have declared October as Cyber Security Awareness Month!!! As part of Cyber Security Month, on October 25, 26 and 26, Associate Professor of Computer Science Department Mikheil Donadze held a workshop on "Cyberspace and Cyber Security Challenges - Cyber Resilience" at the Innovation Laboratory of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education.

A welcome party for international students was held at BSU on the initiative of the Department of Strategic Development and International Relations of the university. In the current semester, 14 students from France, Poland, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Ukraine are continuing their studies at different faculties of BSU, based on "Erasmus+" exchange programs and cooperation memoranda.
