Tsisnami Sharashidze, a student of the Master’s Educational Program in European Studies at the BSU Faculty of Humanities (supervisor of the Master’s Thesis- Professor Natalia Surguladze) is the winner of the Francophone University Agency’s Competition “My Dissertation Topic in 180 Seconds.”

Batumi Shota Rustaveli state university is hosting a project consortium meeting within the framework of the Erasmus+project “ Strengthening the Quality and Relevance of the 3rd Mission in Georgian Universities (SQUARE)”.
8 Georgian and 4 foreign educational institutions are involved in the project; the coordinator is Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State university. For three days, Georgian and foreign experts will discuss the role of the university in community development, institution building, quality assurance and challenges.
The meeting was opened by Ajara AR Minister of Education, Culture and Sports Maia Khajishvili, the first Deputy Chairman of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara AR Tamar Kaikatsishvili, Head of the Quality Assurance Service of TSU Irma Grdzelidze and the Deputy Rector of BSU Tamar Siradze.

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is hosting an international workshop within the framework of the Erasmus+project “The Role of Universities in Regional Development (RURD)”. At the meeting, representatives of 10 regional universities will discuss the final version of the agreement to establish a conference of rectors.
The project envisages the establishment of the academic structure of the Conference of Rector of the Regional Partnership Scheme, the prerogative of which will be to discuss the ways of achievement envisaged by the university mission, analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the strategic plan and share experiences.

The students’ scientific conference-2021 has been opened at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. More than 180 students from various faculties will be presenting reports in nineteen directions. The objective of the conference is to encourage the youths’ involvement in the scientific activities, gaining and development of the skills and abilities of working on research. The young researchers’ work will be evaluated by the university professors and teachers, while the authors of the reports winning the prize for the best research in direction will be provided a cash reward. The collection which will be published in the frame of the conference will include three best scientific papers in each direction.
