The final conference of the EU-funded Erasmus + KA2 program Raising Research Capacity of Georgian HEIs through Developing R&D Units – HERD was held at BSU. The conference was opened by Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Professor Merab Khalvashi, Project Coordinator, Deputy Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in the field of Science Nino Okribelashvili, representatives of project partners public institutions- Nunu Mitskevich, Deputy Minister of Education and Jaba Samushi, General Director of the Georgian National Foundation of Shota Rustaveli.

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is hosting the first international conference on academic integrity. Representatives of Georgian and foreign universities are participating in the conference "Academic Integrity and Distance Learning in Emergency Situations - From the Perspective of Georgian Higher Education Institutions". The main topic of the conference is the state of emergency caused by the pandemic, the process of online teaching and the principles of academic integrity in their context. The papers presented were grouped into several panels: student motivation during online learning; Evaluation of learning outcomes; Violation of academic principles and specifics of foreign language teaching.

A solemn reception dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the US-Georgia relations and strategic partnership was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia Kelly Degnan summed up the 30-year history of relations and cooperation between the two countries. The event was attended by BSU Rector Merab Khalvashi, Deputy Rector Tamar Siradze, representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, professors and teaching staff and students.

On June 6-10, the Porto Polytechnic University of Porto, Portugal hosted a study visit under the Erasmus + grant project “Boosting the role of HEls in the industrial transformation towards the Industry 4.0 paradigm in Georgia and Ukraine”
The visit was intended to share the experience of European universities for the development of Paradigm 4.0 concept. At the meeting the successful practices of the Universities of Porto Polytechnic University (ISEP - IPP, Portugal), the University of Minho (University of Minho, Portugal) and the University of Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Belgium and Germany in integration of the Paradigm 4.0 concept in the educational programs, about the role of the universities in the development of industry and successful projects of partner universities, were presented.

On June 6-7, 2022 iHUB4Schools („iHubs4Schools - Accelerating Digital Innovation in Schools through Regional Innovation Hubs and a Whole-School Mentoring Model“, Project N H2020-SC6-TRANSFORMATIONS-2020; № 101004676) consortium meeting was held at the University of Helsinki, Finland. Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University staff: Vice Rector Tamar Siradze, Associate Professor Tatia Nakashidze-Makharadze, Senior Specialist of the Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Adjara Nino Nakashidze participated in the meeting.
