Pursuant to the Resolution N06-01/59 of 9 September 2020 of the BSU Academic Council, the study process of the 2020-2021 academic year for the one-cycle “Medical Doctor” educational program (instructed in English) started on 26 October 2020. This resolution as well as the data on the date of the start of the study process, the format of the lectures/applications/laboratory work, the right on the suspension of the student status pursuant to the student’s personal request letter on the status suspension, have been uploaded on the English page of the BSU web-site in the first week of October of the current year.

The new campus of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is already the host of the Technopark opened by Natia Turnava, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and Tornike Rijvadze, Chairman of Ajara AR Government together with Maia Khajishvili, the Minister of Education of AR of Ajara, Merab Khalvashi, the BSU Rector and Avtandil Kasradze, Chairman of the Agency of Innovations and Technologies of Georgia. The Technopark will provide the young people from the region with the opportunity to turn their innovative ideas into the real business and develop their startup ideas, with the support from the state. The Technopark creates the space where the technological, educational and professional resources are accumulated with the objective to encourage the development of the competence-based economy in Georgia.

Dear students, once again we would like to remind you that the English educational program of “Medical Doctor” at BSU starts the study process in on-line format from 26 October 2020. However, the declining dynamics of the epidemic situation gives us hope that the study process can soon be resumed in the off-line format at the university space and clinics. Therefore, the BSU administration requests you to use the charter flights organized by the government and return to Georgia in due time.
