The Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University was visited by the judge of the Erfurt Regional Court, the author of numerous scientific publications, Martin Borovski. The German professor gave public lectures on the topic - "EU law in brief" for practicing lawyers and policy makers for the students of the undergraduate educational program of Law, International Relations and European Studies; "Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union".

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University was visited by Aditya Kumar Pande, Secretary of the Indian Embassy (Armenia) Consulate. The representative of the diplomatic corps met the Head of BSU administration, Merab Diasamidze, representatives of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Health and the Department of Strategic Development and International Relations. The parties discussed the living conditions of foreign students in Georgia and the services of studying in the educational programme of Medical Doctor instructed in English. Within the framework of the visit, Aditya Kumar Pandey met the students of the Medical Doctor program instructed in English and answered their topical questions. In addition, the consul mentioned that the Indian embassy will be opened in Georgia soon.

On May 14-17, an international week was held at BSU, which was attended by 17 representatives of 10 universities from 8 countries (Germany, Portugal, France, Latvia, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey). The guests met the representatives of the administration of the university and faculties, academics, got acquainted with educational programs, study opportunities at BSU, the material and technical base of the university, study rooms, laboratories, as well as the sights of the city.

The participants of the 2024 meeting of the network of children`s rights centers of Georgian universities and child rights advocates signed the declaration of the formation of the academic network of children`s rights. The academic network aims to create a favorable environment for academic research, research and advocacy aimed at strengthening the realization of children`s rights. Members will use the network as a platform to exchange ideas, practices, opinions, experiences and resources on the promotion and protection of children`s rights. The association will also facilitate partnerships with academic networks in other countries to share child rights knowledge, research, advocacy principles and practices.

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Rector Merab Khalvashi, Deputy Rector Anzor Beridze, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Irakli Kordzaia, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Health Rusudan Khukhunaishvili and Associate Professor Lia Chkonia visited Ordu University on a return visit. During the meeting with the Rector of Ordu University, Professor Orhan Bash, the representatives of the delegation talked about the development of cooperation between universities, the implementation of joint educational and scientific projects and the development of exchange programs. According to the agreement of the parties, a joint international congress will be held in Batumi from May 28 to June 1.
